Volunteer Opportunities
  • If you've been looking for a way to get involved in the Plankhouse Project that doesn't include sharp tools or splinters, you can volunteer to staff the plankhouse so it can be open to the public.
  • Contact Toni Scholder at 360-887-4106 or toni_scholder@fws.gov to express your interest and be put on the contact list for future Volunteer Training and information.

Take exit 14 from I-5 and head west toward Ridgefield on Hwy 501 (Pioneer St.). Proceed into the center of Ridgefield and turn Right at the flashing red light onto Main. Follow this road through town, down a hill and up to the Refuge entrance on the left. Park and cross over the railroad pedestrian bridge (non-ADA accessible). Turn right immediately. The plankhouse is visible beside the pond.
